The Alpha Tau Omega Leadership Development Fund

In recognition of Mr. Dobbs, the R. Howard Dobbs Jr. Foundation agreed
to provide a $150,000 challenge grant to establish the Alpha Tau Omega
Leadership Development Fund at Emory University.


With funds raised from brothers, alumni, and supporters, ATO must match
this grant, bringing the total to $300,000 by 2011.


This would translate to anticipated funds of $15,000 per year, or $7,500 per
semester, allowing for fifteen $500 grants per semester for qualified ATO
brothers, covering half of the current members who are on financial aid to
cover member expenses.

Welcome to the rush page for Alpha Theta. I am Ben Kassoy, a junior in the College from Columbus, OH, and the Recruitment Chair for 2009-2010.

Coming off an extremely successful spring rush, where we welcomed 17 new pledges into our fraternity, the brotherhood looks to maintain this excitement and momentum, along with implementing innovative ways to recruit potential members.

After taking rushees to a Braves game, a Hawks game, hosting a luau-themed date party at the house, and starting a new tradition of Bring a Rush to Lunch (BRL) days, we are currently planning a paintball outing and focusing on incorporating rush into our philanthropy events (for example, trips to the Atlanta Boys & Girls Club or Atlanta PAWS) and social functions, such as our spring semester favorite, Four-Square Fridays.

As we move into the semester and begin hosting events geared towards potential recruits for next fall, I would love to hear thoughts, ideas, or reactions from any supporter of Alpha Theta. Please feel free to contact me at bkassoy@emory.edu.
